Senior Materials Handling Designer

Calibre Global is an Australian-based, international provider of project management, engineering and consultancy services to the resources and infrastructure industries.
We are seeking applications from highly motivated people to fill the role of Senior Materials Handling Designer to contribute to a range of projects from concept studies to detailed design to construction management on a wide range of project sizes and locations.
With 15+ years experience with bulk materials handling systems in both mining and port areas (crushing, rail loading & unloading, stockyard systems, ship loading) with a focus on bulk commodities such as coal, iron ore, alumina, concentrates.
- You will have the ability to contribute to a strong team environment with:
- Extensive experience in large scale materials handling systems
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to present creative design solutions in an efficient manner with little or no guidance
- Experience with a range of design and drafting tools such as 12d, microstation, autocad
- Mentoring, managing and reviewing work of other staff is required.
- To be successful in this role you will have:
- Drafting diploma and proven CAD skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
- Ability to work with other professional engineers in a dynamic project environment.
