Calibre Global provides project management, engineering and consultancy services to the resources and infrastructure industries and consists of four business units - Calibre Projects, Calibre Controls, Calibre Rail and Calibre Safety Services.

Calibre Projects is a results-focused provider of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services to the mining minerals, processing and energy industries and delivers projects from feasibility study through to commissioning. Based in our client office in Perth and reporting to the Lead Structural Engineer, we require a Structural Engineer to join the team on our Brockman 4 Phase II Project.

The main purpose of this role is to provide technical support in relation to the structural design and engineering services of the project including earthworks, roads, dams, drainage, water supply and buildings, foundations, structures and buildings.

You will be required to provide assistance with all civil and structural engineering work and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies, prepare preliminary and detailed designs, assist with the preparation of standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitoring regimes in respect of structural engineering work. You will also be responsible for carrying out calculations for systems and equipment design, liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure civil and structural goals are met and consistent with project objectives and client requirements, budgeting and assisting with the development of Graduate Engineers.

 
In order to be successful for this role :
  • You will be self motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong ability to work with engineering professionals and technical specialists
  • You will also possess strong communication and negotiation skills and have the ability to work as part of a team in order to achieve tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills are also required
  • You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Structural or Civil Engineering, coupled with relevant professional experience in an engineering and construction environment
  • You will have completed or working towards CP Eng and RPEQ qualification and are a member or eligible for membership of relevant engineering association
  • Previous experience in a mining environment is prefered.
